Writers should hire ghostwriters to write their queries. Agents should consider it as a way of generating some excellent extra income. It could be a conflict of interest, but it might be OK as long as the query then is sent to other agencies. The agent who wrote the query would lose the deal, but s/he would receive queries written by other agents on behalf of other authors, so it balances out.
