what remains in a mind's eye

These three houses existed long ago on Dutch Broadway in Valley Stream. Back then, this town was growing and becoming the suburbs. The houses are gone. It is especially sad that the last house was torn down.... because the family that lived there probably had their own memories that were filled with great history.
