The New New York City

The tents that provide shelter for the homeless have been in an area of Los Angeles for years and tonight I saw the first tent with a NYC homeless a couple living inside their new shelter.

It is disgraceful that people have to live this way because the rents are too damn high. There may be low income housing but middle class people who are earning right above the amount mandated for entry into those buildings are caught between a rock and a hard place. They cannot afford 3 thousand dollars a month for an apartment and they do not qualify for public housing.

This is just the beginning. Welcome to NYC.
