Le Grand Hotel, Paris
When Nell passed away, I was given a letter that was written to her by her husband. It is written on the Le Grand Hotel stationary.
The letter is very personal, emotional and heartfelt, and layered with heartbreak .... but how wonderful to be able to actually see the hotel at 12 Boulevard Capucines where he sat so many years ago on March 5, 1953, and wrote the letter!
Red Bank, My Red Bank
Some of the Levine family from Minsk settled in Red Bank, NJ and my family vacationed there during the summers. These photos were taken during one of those visits in June 1940 and they show my mother and cousin Ellen... and my grandfather.
Red Bank NJ NOW!

Bordentown, My Bordentown
One of my earliest memories is of a party I attended in the small and historic Clara Barton School in Bordentown, NJ. I think I was about 4 years old.
My great aunt owned a big house on that street. And so on a sunny afternoon during a weekend visit, my grandmother and I walked down the road to the sound of the happy music. And inside... there were lots of children, and colorful balloons, and plenty of candy and cakes.
I still remember sitting on a narrow bench with my grandmother just behind that little window on the left....
