Bard Graduate Center and Gallery

Today, I went to see William Kent: Designing Georgian Britain at Bard Graduate Center.

In 18th century Britain, designer William Kent brought the glamour of Roman palazzi back to Britain’s already glamourous stately country homes and London mansions.

At Bard Graduate Center, located at 38 West 86th Street, a tour is given to view some of his garden designs and most famous interiors, from ceilings to wall hangings, furniture, sculpture, and silver.

Architecture, gardening and interior design are all in one exhibit - and it’s soon leaving to go to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London!
