On March 30, 1968, two playing children found his dead body in an abandoned East Village tenement at 371 East 10th Street. He was thought to be an unclaimed and homeless person, and he was buried in an unmarked pauper's grave on Hart Island, where he remains.
This is Cedar Rapids, where Bobby Driscoll lived... probably happily as a child and maybe in one of these quiet and stately old homes.
Did you live in any of these houses, Bobby Driscoll? Did you walk along these streets and play in these parks?
And this is where he was found dead decades later.
